I cannot express it;
but surely you and everybody have a notion that there is or should be an existence of yours beyond you.
What were the use of my creation, if I were entirely contained here?
My great miseries in this world have been Heathcliff’s miseries, and I watched and felt each from the beginning:
my great thought in living is himself.

I can never read all the books I want;
I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want.
I can never train myself in all the skills I want.
And why do I want?
I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life.
And I am horribly limited.

He's more myself than I am.
Whatever our souls are made of,
his and mine are the same.

Dear wondrouslysentient people,
I want to wish all of you and every single one of you
the strength to make all your dreams come true,
tones of faith,
tones of tones of warmth,
and the most of all,
don't close yourselves in cages of fears.

sweet dreams.
